The World's Longest Beard

Move over India. Surrey is now home to the world's longest beard.

Surrey teacher Sarwan Singh, a devout Sikh, now has the world's longest beard as officially measured at 1.895 metres last night at the Akal Academy in Surrey.

His beard, measured in an elaborate ceremony witnessed by three judges, many members of the media and close to 200 people, will be submitted to Guinness World Records officials for recognition.
